BAY VIEWPrint: $50 |
| One of my favorite places to run back in 1979 was a special run that took me past Willsboro Bay on beautiful Lake Champlain. There was one particular cabin I used to run by that caught my attention every time I ran by. I would stare, dream and take in this beautiful site. No it was far from perfect but my heart cried out you need to be here home. One day while running past this cabin a squirrel almost ran over my feet and distracted me so I almost ran into a pine tree by the side of the road . I laughed all the way back to my parents cabin that they rented for the summer. I never forgot how I felt that day. The bird in my paintings represent spirits. In this painting the spirit is for my Dad who died in 1994. Dad loved Lake Champlain and he passed this love on to me. Bayview....remembering a special day back in 1970. | |

| Just a simple painting inspired by thoughts I had in my youth. A sandcastle on a warm, sunny, July day. The yellow boat was one we had when I was growing up and from the window looking out, life looked pretty good. Notice the crack in the upper left hand pane and the dirt on the upper right hand pane. The message I painted was simple: home is where the heart is and that building does not have to be perfect to have the wonderful feeling of home. | |

| In search of peace I painted Camp Fireplace . A cabin and a fireplace will warm your heart and soul. This cabin has an old discarded rocking chair I found in the Adirondacks. The Toys of children in the corner and a ball for a dog to play. Home Sweet Home above the mantel what a beautiful feeling. Camp fireplace is about the warmth that love brings to our lives and that little things do mean a lot. | |

INDIAN BAYPrint: $50 |
| Indian Bay is located inside Willsboro bay on Lake Champlain. I took a picture as the sun went down and I just loved seeing the sailboat almost fading away in the background. Summer was almost gone when I took the picture back in 1978. I took the picture threw a rock into the big lake, made a wish and dove off the dock into the cold fall water. Years later I found the picture and had to paint it back when gas was 58.9 a gallon. | |

MOONRISEPrint: $50 |
From my boat on the huge lake you could hear the sea gulls cry from a distance. The sun set slowly with the sun going from bright yellow to an orange glow so beautiful that I wanted to catch this moment forever. The hot August sun had now set on Lake Champlain over the great Adirondack Mountains of New York. I wished I could have kept that moment in time forever. I just couldn't leave, even though this show of nature seemed to have come to an end on this summer night. Still I was in no hurry to bring the sixty- five horse Johnson back to our cabin and before I could say to myself" ok now I'll go" a new nature show started. A new little orange glow started slowly and built in the background of the huge mountains. Minutes went by and the glow built even more as a shimmer of light was now cast on the water below . This pace of nature quickened faster and faster and the rise of the full moon grew until suddenly the rise was complete and the orange shimmer was a full yellow glow. "Wow!" I thought, how beautiful and lucky to experience such a show. The moonrise on beautiful Lake Champlain was complete and then and only then did I reluctantly turned my boat around and head for home. |

SWEETHEART BAY / AUGUST MOONPrint: $50 |
In my studio a noreaster winter snow took hold of New England but my mind drifted to a summer memory. My mood was set for this painting with help from a Billie Holiday song Sailboat in the moonlight. So with music playing my mood was set for this painting . How easy to drift back in time to remember the feeling of a warm summer memory on a cold winter day. Oh watching that August moon how I longed for you staying up till the sun said you were gone and you were etched in my memory forever remembered in my painting Sweetheart Bay August Moon. |

SPRING WINDPrint: $50 |
There is something special about a lake in the early spring as winter is now behind us and is replaced for hope for a long summer. In the painting I have painted a mother bird feeding her young in the tree to represent the rebirth that is celebrated in all of nature. The water on the lake has risen from spring runoff and the unattended canoe would go off in the wind if not tied down by the rope to the log. I painted Spring Wind at a Adirondack Lake with a stiff breeze to my back and every time I look at that painting I want to go out onto the water and feel the cool Spring Wind on a lake. |

THE MOON & THE LOONPrint: $50 |
The Moon and the Loon touch the soul so much. On a summer day I saved two boys from drowning on Lake Champlain and that evening I went out on this dock raft to relax and calm down after a nerve racking day. What should pop up right in front of me but a loon. Then from less than five feet from my friend Bill and I the loon gave cry. What a sound and what a site. The loon stayed long enough for me to get the idea for this painting. A blessed day that turned out to be a blessed night. |

The freshness of spring as plants ,grass , tress bloom bring out animals from their hibernation after a long Adirondack winter. There in a tree a young cub is climbing for the first time and finds a visitor with a look of what are you doing here. Little one is about the circle of life in nature and new beginnings represented in both the spring flowers and the little bear cub. |

WILLSBORO BAY MARINAPrint: $50 |
Willsboro Bay Marina has always been one of my favorite places to watch a sunset. Watching the sailboats and hearing clanging of the masts with a summer wind as the sun is slowly going down over the Adirondack Mountains brought me such joy. This sunset was very special to me as two mallards joined me on this evening. The mallards representing true love and if you look closely you will find a face in the water along with a shadow of a spirit woman on the left side of the shadow in the water. |

ROW BOAT ETOILE FILANTEPrint: $50 |
Now this is a painting that takes me back in time. Just a small little wooden rowboat that sat on my Dad's perfectly groomed summer beach. Everyday as a young boy I would take out that little rowboat on Lake Champlain off of Willsboro Point NY. Hour and hour of adventure in my boat making wishes on a warm August day and by night when I had to come home we would have a camp fire and sing songs. I can still hear my Dad singing "show me the way to go home". Later I would just stare at the night sky looking for shooting stars. The name on the boat "Etoile Filante" is french for shooting star. I many of wishes from that little row boat and in hopes they still come true. |

Leaving Burlington, Vermont harbor by boat as the sunset on Lake Champlain I felt a clam and peaceful feeling as the sun fell into the Adirondack Mountains to the west. The Northern lighthouse that sits on the Burlington breakwater a guide leaving the Queen City. Off in the distance on the hugh lake is Willsboro Point where I head to my summer port of Willsboro Bay. Bonne Nuit Lac Champlain , Good Night. |

THE FOUR LEAF CLOVERPrint: $50 |
I was about five years old the first time I remember going on vacation. My parents packed the station wagon and some how all of us seven kids and headed north to the Great Adirondacks and Lake Champlain. We rented a cabin called the Four Leaf Clover that sat right on the lake looking out at Mullen Bay in Port Henry NY. This was also the first time I heard of the Lake Champlain Monster now called Champ. If you look closely you just may see this elusive legend! |

There on a Mountain Top in the middle of winter the wolf cries out to the world. The painting represents that feeling of crying out to the world from the depths of ones heart and soul. Once in a blue moon the call is answered. |
